The Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IIE) internship program is a partnership that benefits students, startup firms, the university, and the Wyoming ecosystem.
The objectives of the program are:
While startup firms don’t have much extra time or staff to train and educate interns, it is essential that host firms invest sufficient orientation, training, supervision, and mentoring for a successful experience for both the student and the firm.
Internships are nominally for a semester, fall, spring, or summer. Placements are with startup firms that have limited revenue and funds raised. Interns work for startup firms. However, the IIE pays a stipend/honorarium to support and compensate the student.
